Robby Weber is a Florida-based writer who loves sunshine, summer, and strong-willed characters. He can normally be found as close to the ocean as possible with his dog, Arthur, and a novel from Reese's Book Club.

Robby's connection to the beach is a significant aspect of his life, as he repeatedly states in interviews, describing it as his happy place through both the best and worst times. Naturally, this affinity has also made him passionate about marine preservation and coastal ecology. Growing up at the beach has significantly influenced his writing, and the ocean continues to be a source of inspiration and solace for him. His books are written to provide young, queer readers with a light and heartwarming read. He is dedicated to writing stories that offer hope and happiness, particularly for queer teens, while also advocating for marine preservation and cherishing his connection to the ocean.
In the Spotlight
Weber first appeared in the literary circuit in 2022 with his debut novel, If You Change Your Mind. With a story after every rom-com fanatic's heart and the desire to write the queer story he wished he could have read when younger, Weber's churned out a heartwarming tale about a boy who is just trying to navigate desires and aspirations despite the nagging tug of ht boys all around him. Despite being a relative newcomer to the literary scene, Weber has been praised for his writing style and ability to encapsulate the many facets of teenage love adeptly. During a month when we focus on celebrating queer individuals and the queer community, this tender story of a young boy just trying to navigate the complexities of love is sure to resonate with many, regardless of their identity.
Harry wants nothing more than to write Hollywood screenplays. He knows the first step toward achieving that goal is winning a screenwriting competition that will seal his admission into the college of his dreams, so he's determined to spend his summer free of distractions—also known as boys—and finish his script. After last year, Harry is certain love only exists in the movies anyway. But then the cause of his first heartbreak, Grant, returns with a secret that could change everything—not to mention, there's a new boy in town, Logan, who is so charming and sweet, he's making Harry question everything he knows about romance. As he tries to keep his emotions in check and stick to his perfect plan for the future, Harry's about to learn that life doesn't always follow a script. | ![]() |
Notable Works
In addition to If You Change Your Mind, Weber released his sophomore novel, I Like Me Better, in 2023. It tells the story of two boys, one a soccer star and the other a conservation intern, who are thrust together for an unforgettable summer. This novel undoubtedly delivers a love story of rom-com proportions, but more than that, it touches upon Weber's other passion: the sea. Weber will surely use his ability to draw on the teenage experience to work while bringing attention to the ocean conservation efforts near and dear to his heart.
Weber continues to be hard at work as fans eagerly await the release of his next story, What is This Feeling?, which is expected to be released later this year in September. The story follows two boys on a wild scavenger hunt through the Big Apple, where one will do anything to win the prize, while the other couldn't be any less interested. Despite moving away from the beachy/coastal settings of Weber's previous novels, we are sure that the sea will appear, even if only mentioned from the view out of a plane window. What's not in doubt, however, is the guarantee that the story will once again deliver a tale to tug on your heartstrings infused with Weber's signature touch for portraying life through the eyes of adolescents.
